The island offers a vast variety of shopping choices, especially in the city of Palma. There are some especially recommended areas. In the centre, take a walk along Jaime III street and the Paseo del Borne, where you can find main clothes brands, as Zara, Massimo Dutti and Adolfo Domínguez, as well as one of the two Corte Ingles department stores in the city.
Another good possibility is shopping at the Avenidas, where
you’ll find the second Corte Ingles, as well as some big stores with the main clothes brands. Last, but not least, have a look at some of the shopping centres in Palma, as Porto Pi and, on the road to Inca, Festival Park.
Alternatively, you can also visit one of the 45 street markets, as the one at Santa María or at Binissalem, two of the most interesting examples. There you can find furniture, pictures, clothes, books and traditional crafts from the islands. |
