| The high season starts in July, until the end of September; it welcomes the highest number of visitors, so that Mallorca is very crowded. Weather is the island’s main attractive. There are sunny days almost all year around, and during the month of May and beginning of October temperatures can be similar to those in summer. You can enjoy a day on the beach and enjoy Mallorca as if it was summertime, but in a far quieter atmosphere.
Mallorca’s social life finds its peak by the end of July and beginning of August, when regattas start and finish and the Royal Family and celebrities gather to enjoy their summer vacation on the island, as for instance Claudia Schiffer, Michael Douglas, Florentino Pérez or Alberto Cortina, among other.
If you’re planning a visit to the city of Palma and the different villages, we recommend to obtain a good map. Place names and street names may vary depending on whether they’re written in Spanish or in Catalan, so be aware of that. |
