Hotel Nord At the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range, on the slopes of Mount Galatzo (1,025 metres ) lies the village of Estellencs, by the shores of the crystal clear waters of the Mediteranean. Estellencs is the perfect place to relax, and indulge in outdoor activities such as hiking, bird-watching, cycling, enjoying its small cove, sailing around its beautiful coast or simply unwinding with a good book. As a visitor you will be enchanted by this stone-clad village with its cobbled streets and tranquil star-lit skies - a place where time has indeed stood still. "Nord" is right in the centre of the village. The hotel is an old building, which has been lovingly refurbished by its owners, whose aim throughout is to offer to their guests a taste of mallorquine décor, comfort and hospitality. There are 8 bedrooms in the hotel, all with their own - charming - bathroom, satellite television, safety deposit box, central heating / air conditioning. In addition, there is an original central courtyard (patio interior), terraces for sunbathing and a lounge with wood fire for the winter evenings. We offer buffet breakfast where you can taste local products. Estellencs offers a range of different eating places - from Pizza to restaurants serving both international and excellent local mallorquine cuisine. There are also a couple of different places where "snacks" can be bought if you prefer not to have a full meal."In addition to a buffet breakast, we serve dinner on a daily basis and will be happy to provide a full vegetarian menu, with local produce. 1/ When you leave from the airport, take the motorway in the direction of PALMA. After approximately 5 km you should take the ringroad ( VIA CINTURA) off to the right and after a further 5 km you should take the turning for VALLDEMOSA ( just after the prison which is above the road to your right). Follow the Valldemossa road ( single carrige road) for approximately 7 km - you will pass the university buildings on the left and are heading straight towards the mountains. There is a turning off the road to the left signposted ESPORLAS - follow the road through Esporlas and keep on the same road ( you will start to climb up into the mountains) heading towards BANYALBUFAR and ESTELLENCS. This stretch of the journey ( Esporlas to Estellencs ) is about 18 km but feels longer because of the curves in the road! 2/ The second option is to take the same route out of the airport - ie motorway towards PALMA but follow the VIA CINTURA ( ring road) towards Andraitx. This road is slightly less windy but is also further. You keep following signs for Andraitx until you reach it - going past Santa Ponsa, Paguerra then Andraitx. You will enter the town by the main road and after 600m will see a sign to the right for Estellencs. Again, you are now driving through the mountains - for some 17 km. You will pass "Es Grau" - a restaurant - on the left, then "Coll d'es Pi" and as you start going down the hill you are almost there! You wiill start to see the village of Estellencs through the trees on the left and when you get to the village, can ask for directions to Hotel Nord.
